A Burnaby tradition since 2001 Hats Off Day is held on the first Saturday in June every year and is Burnaby’s largest street festival.

From Boundary Road to Gamma, the street is car-
The day begins with the Hats Off Parade beginning at 9:30 am showcasing local Burnaby community groups and business as well as bands and organizations from other areas. The parade begins at Beta Avenue and proceeds west down Hastings Street.
The Hats Off Street Festival kicks off at 11 am with street entertainers, bands, dance troupes prize draws, special promotions and lots of food to sample. The streets are packed with families, friends, neighbours, and merchants! This is held between Willingdon Avenue and Boundary Road.
The Hats Off Show and Shine between Gamma Avenue and Willingdon features Hot rods, muscle cars, restored antiques, and foreign model cars. This is one of the largest Show and Shines held in the Lower Mainland.
Hastings Street is closed between Gamma Avenue and Boundary Road beginning at 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM to accommodate the celebration and the accompanying large crowds. Be advised that parking restrictions are in place as are traffic restrictions. Please arrive early to find parking or consider taking public transit.
