DOXA Documentary Film Festival

DOXA is presented by The Documentary Media Society, a Vancouver based non-profit, charitable society devoted to presenting independent and innovative documentaries to Vancouver audiences. The 16th annual DOXA Documentary Film Festival will take place May 4 thru 14, 2017. The festival intention is to educate the public about documentary film as an art form. The Film Festival is a curated and juried festival comprised of public screenings, panel discussions, public forums and educational programs. and offers screenings of some of the world's most outstanding documentaries to communities around the Lower Mainland.

A celebration of yesteryear on the magnificent lawns of VanDusen Botanical Garden, this spectacular display of British cars and motorcycles makes this a very special garden party for enthusiasts and those merely looking for a walk down memory lane. with brass band music, pipe band, food trucks, swap meet, dealer future classics, restoration demonstrations, cars for sale corral and vendor booths.

Hats Off Day 2017

Hats Off Day is when Heights merchants "take their hats off" to their community and their customers, and the entire Heights community celebrates together. It's a huge, one-day extravaganza featuring a colourful main-street style parade with real local flavour, and a big street party afterwards.
