2015 Festivals & Events in Vancouver, Burnaby and the Lower Mainland
Vancouver has many Festivals and Events that run throughout the year. There is never a shortage of things to do in the Lower Mainland. Many of Vancouver's established festivals are impressive international events, but there are just as many festivals and events enthusiastically celebrating local communities.
Vancouver's festivals and events showcase the city’s cultural diversity, arts community and outdoor activities. Discover local Vancouver neighbourhoods at festivals like the Chinese New Year Parade, Burnaby’s Hats Off Day, or Italian Day on Commercial Drive.
The Celebration of Light fireworks festival draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to Vancouver's Westend beaches and Kitsilano shores, while the PNE has music, agricultural displays, rides and lots to keep the whole family busy. You can take in the Dragon Boat Festival, one of Canada’s largest or participate in the Sun Run which is the country’s largest running event.
If you’re a lover of cultural events why not head to the International Jazz Festival, Burnaby’s Blues and Roots Festival, or the Vancouver Folk Music Festival to name just a few.
We will be including festivals and events from Pemberton to Abbotsford that are inclusive of all communities and cultures. Many of these events are free and some you will need to buy tickets for well in advance of the event to avoid disappointment. Wherever possible we have provided links to the official event site as well as links to purchase tickets. Many events have not yet announced dates and locations. We will be updating the list monthly as events and dates become available so check back often.
If you know of other local festivals or events that are missing from this list please contact us to have it included.
